[ARCHIVED] Fire District posts "fact sheet" on it web page

At the March 15, 2016 elections, voters within the Algonquin-Lake in the Hills fire district will be asked the following:

Shall the Algonquin-Lake in the Hills Fire Protection District, Kane and McHenry Counties, Illinois, be authorized to levy a new tax for emergency and rescue crews and equipment purposes and have an additional tax of .10% of the equalized assessed value of the taxable property therein extended for such purposes?

The Fire District has posted a "fact sheet" on its web page to better inform voters as to the issues underlying the referendum question. Those interested can go to alfpd.org and look for "Rescue Tax Facts" under the News and Events banner.

Voters are also encouraged to attend the Community Information Meetings being held 6:30 pm on February 10, February 23, and March 10 at Station #1, 1020 Algonquin Rd, Lake in the Hills and to call (847) 658-8233 M-F from 8:00 am until 4:30 pm with any questions they may have about the District or the referendum.

In addition, the Fire Chief and his senior staff are available at any time to attend community meetings and functions in order to provide voters with information about the District and the referendum.
