Administrative Assistant

This is a staff level administrative position that works directly with the Administrative Coordinator performing diverse administrative duties and support. Responsibilities include payroll, scheduling, data collection, report preparation, accounts receivable/payable, meeting preparation, keeping of official records, speaking with the public, and backup to the Administrative Coordinator. This administrative position will also be able to perform some Administrative Coordinator functions as a backup.

 

Applicants must be able to perform all essential duties satisfactorily. The requirements are representative of the knowledge, skill and ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

 

High school diploma or GED required. Associates Degree is preferred. Proven work experience and knowledge can be substituted for college degree.

Administrative experience with either a Fire Protection District or a municipal Fire Department is preferred.

The Administrative Assistant position is an on-site full-time position working Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The Administrative Assistant position offers a starting salary range of

$45,000 - $55,000 (depending on qualifications) and benefit package.
