Garage Fire 1420 Brandywine Circle, Algonquin, IL

Residential Structure Fire

On Friday Evening at 5:27 PM the Algonquin-Lake in the Hills Fire Protection District was dispatched for a possible garage fire at 1420 Brandywine Circle in Algonquin. Firefighters arrived on scene at 5:34 PM and found a two story wood frame home with smoke showing from the garage area.  Crews made an aggressive interior attack into the garage and extinguished the fire by 5:53 PM.  The resident discovered the fire outside the house and was able to evacuate all the occupants, including the family dog, and call 911.  No civilian or firefighter injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is determined to be accidental but still under investigation a damage estimate is not yet available.
